A White Christmas...

What a fantastic way to start Christmas day! I can't remember the last time we had a white Christmas in Dallas, if ever. Here's a picture of our little house covered in snow...

And our neighborhood...

This was the first time since Josh and I were married that we woke up in our own home on Christmas day. I really enjoyed that. We went over to Jimmy and Jill's fairly early to watch Kalie and Cole open their Santa gifts....they obviously were very good kids this year, because Santa brought them lots of fun presents! It was so much fun to watch them open all of their gifts!

Cole made sure that Santa enjoyed some cookies and milk...

Kalie got a pair of pink Uggs from Jewelz (my mom)...she was thrilled!

Cole was very excited about the laser tag guns he got...he has worn them out over the past few days!

Kalie and Jill wrote Jimmy a poem about one of the gifts they got him. It was precious...

Kalie with her sequined Converse shoes that Josh and I got her. Kalie loves anything sparkly...she fits into our family quite nicely!

Chloe had fun playing with all of the tissue, paper and bows...

Before we opened our stockings from mom....we always save them for last!

Jill and I with the pups....

Merry Christmas from our family to yours! And Happy New Year's Eve!! I can't believe that 2009 has come and gone. It was a great year filled with many blessings! Welcome 2010!!!

Fun in the snow...

We're having a great time in Colorado this week. Yesterday we went skiing...wow, it was freezing and snowing like crazy. Definitely my least favorite weather to ski in. But, we had a fun day with no injuries. Today we're just taking it easy around the house. The weather man is calling for some snow this afternoon in Buena Vista, so we're keeping our fingers crossed that his prediction is correct. As I'm typing, there are at least 10 deer and 5 wild turkeys on the back porch...pretty amazing. On Monday we went up to Cottonwood lake to "ice skate" as Cole calls it and to do a little sledding. Here are some pictures from our fun in the snow...

Logan was definitely the most animated sledder of the group...

Is this picture precious or what?!

Christmas Eve...

This year, we spent Christmas Eve at my mom's....we had a fantastic time and enjoyed the SNOW that fell all night long! We always eat chili and tamales on Christmas Eve...I love that tradition! We also did a white elephant gift exchange, which was an absolute blast! Here are a few pictures from the evening...
