Getting ready...
Well, Thursday is the big day...unless baby girl decides to come on her own before then. I had my 38 week (plus several days) appointment this morning and we decided to go ahead and induce this Thursday! I'll be 39 weeks on Thursday and my doctor said that baby and momma will be ready to go. I was a little hesitant to schedule an induction a week early (my doctor mentioned this option to me last week), but now I feel good/confident about the decision. We are so ready to meet our sweet baby girl! I'm feeling excited, nervous and a bit emotional...but mostly excited! It's hard to believe that we'll actually be a family of FOUR on Thursday. I can't wait to introduce Lucy to her little sister...I know it will be such a special moment! We ask for your prayers over Thursday...
1) For the nurses and my doctor as they care for me and baby....for wisdom and clarity as they make decisions, etc.
2) That labor would go quickly (or at least quicker than last time) and that my epidural will take!
3) For a healthy baby and momma and quick recovery for me.
4) That I would not worry about Lucy....I know she'll be in great hands while we're at the hospital.
5) For rest this week, especially on Wednesday night.

Potty Humor...
I don't know where she learned this from (um, her dad)....but recently, Lucy has started to look at us and smile after she toots. Like she's looking for a good laugh or something. Have mercy...she's not even 2 yet and already appreciates potty humor. Etiquette training may be in our future.
She's a funny girl...

More singing momma...
When it's time for bed, Josh or I read Lucy a few books and sing to her before putting her in her crib. Lucy typically gets a second wind after bath time (I think she's going to be a night owl like her daddy), so our bed time routine helps settle her down for the night. We switch books each night, but our songs stay the same (at least when I put her down)...Jesus Loves Me, Jesus Love the Little Children, You are My Sunshine, Amazing Grace, How Deep the Father's Love for Us and Father/Jesus/Spirit I Adore You. She always requests "Jesus" which means sing Jesus Loves Me. After I finish each song, she'll say "more" in this sweet little voice with a long O in "more." It absolutely melts my heart each time, because this momma has a horrible voice. But for now, Lucy thinks it's great and wants more...every time. Gosh, I love her. I really dread the day she says "mom, stop singing!"
Leaving the doctor on Monday...sucker and bear in hand!

Daddy Kate and Mommy Kate...
Since I have a little bit of spare time on my hands (I know that is about to change once baby #2 arrives), I thought I would try to blog about some funny things Lucy is doing right now that I don't want to forget. She is at such a fun age!
Recently, Lucy has figured out that her name is Lucy and Lucy Kate. We call her both pretty equally. She'll say Lucy Kate now, which is just adorable! She also has a friend named Leni-Kate and I have a friend named Kate, so she hears it a lot. I think sister girl may be slightly confused because she started calling Josh and I "Daddy Kate" and "Mommy Kate! " The first time she said it, Josh and I could not stop laughing! It makes complete sense, sweet girl....you're a smart one!
I told Josh that for now, I'm done with cooking. I just don't have the energy anymore to meal plan, grocery shop and cook. So, we've been eating simple meals at home or going out to eat. Last night we hit up Taco Tuesday at Rosa's. Lucy wore her cowboy hat and thoroughly enjoyed some tortillas and queso!
