We spent Christmas morning at home in our pj's playing with Lucy's toys from Santa and eating Pioneer Women cinnamon rolls (definitely a new tradition)! It was such a relaxing and fun morning!
Santa came!!!
The ball popper toy was a HUGE hit! She is slightly obsessed with her teddy bear! Bubbles! Opening presents from Jewelz... Yummy cinnamon rolls...they were so good and made the house smell all warm and Christmassy! Playing with daddy... Jewelz and Lucy... After Lucy's morning nap, we went over to The Rives for lunch...
Santa came to see Lucy at G and Pops house too!
Silly girl...
We all enjoyed a nice afternoon nap and then had The Rives over for chili and tamales on Christmas night. It was the perfect ending to a fun-filled day!
On Christmas Eve we ate an early dinner, went to the 6pm Christmas Eve service at church and enjoyed desserts and presents at G and Pops! We had such a great time, but we missed being with all the Houston crew on Christmas Eve. Miss Lucy had so much fun opening all of her gifts...and playing with them too!
Tearing into the first package... A zebra backpack from Aunt Leisa!! She loves her baby doll from Granny! Pretty purple Converse from Grandad... Crazy Uncle Wes gave her a Star Wars pop-up book... She wasn't quite sure what to think about it...I'm sure she'll appreciate it in a few years! Radio Flyer wagon from G and Pops...I was excited about this one too! :) Lucy and Mom... We forgot to get a group shot, but Wes, Jake and my mom were there too!
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Today we went to see Santa at The Galleria with Karen, Dot, Eleanor and Tripp! Lucy was all smiles until it was her turn to take a seat on the fat man's lap!
"Patiently" waiting in line...
Eleanor kept telling Lucy "no, no" to the ornaments! :)
E and T went first...no drama...just a nice visit with Santa!
And then it was Lucy's turn...it really doesn't get much better than this! So classic...
