Sleep...
June started to drop her morning nap around the middle of September (at 13 months). It took her a couple of weeks to adjust, but for the most part, it was a fairly easy transition. She probably could have stuck with 2 naps a day for a little longer, but I wanted her to drop to 1 nap before she started preschool on October 8th.  She typically naps from 1-4pm, but on school days (Tuesdays and Thursdays), she naps from 2-5pm...and she naps HARD on those days! She goes down for bed around 7:45/8pm and wakes for the day between 8/8:30am.

Eat...
June is still a great eater. She'll pretty much eat anything we give her, but she's a little picky with vegetables. She can finally feed herself a fruit/veggie pouch (we call them squeezies) without making a complete mess, which is wonderful. She loves to eat with a fork too! I haven't been quite as disciplined with using sign language with June, but she knows "more, all done and milk" and we're working on "please and thank you." She eats at normal meal periods (breakfast, lunch, dinner) plus a mid-morning snack, a light snack after nap time and a 5-7oz bottle right before bed. It's time to drop this, I know...but I feel the need to hold on to my baby just a little bit longer! :)

And Everything Else...
June is ON THE MOVE! She is a confident walker now and can get around pretty fast. She is loving her independence! Whatever Lucy is doing, that is what June is doing (or wants to be doing). She has started to talk and tries to repeat words if we ask her to. Some words in her vocabulary right now are: mama, mommy, dada, dad, dog, night night, light, nose, eyes, hi, bye, outside, bath, bike, ball, up, cheese, more, all done and NO....she's got "no" down for sure! She can make the sounds that a dog, duck, cow, sheep, monkey and cat make. She can point to her hair, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, belly, hands and feet. June is doing great at preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays...she loves it, which makes this mama very happy! She plays great with others and also plays well independently. She loves her paci, saying "cheese" for the camera, baths, washing her hands, music, dancing, throwing things in the trash, books, blocks, the Cozy Coupe, pushing a baby stroller, coloring, dumping boxes over, pulling things out of cabinets and cleaning up as we sing the "Clean-up" song! June has strong opinions now and can throw a mean temper tantrum. She'll throw her entire body and face on the floor and go at it! It's quite comical, for a bit. She's pretty attached to me right now and is struggling through some separation anxiety. She never cries when we leave her at school (thanks to her amazing teachers), but she gets pretty upset when we leave her with a babysitter or at church...thankfully though, it doesn't last long. June is quick to warm to new surroundings and people and typically just "dives in" to whatever we're doing. She's very curious, confident, determined, flexible, easy-going, happy, sensitive and snuggly! We love you June Marie Rives!!!!
