Traveling through Troy!

Our second to last stop on the Journeys of Paul was Troy, the city immortalized by Homer's Iliad. According to Iliad, this is where legendary Trojan War took place. It was really neat to see the ancient site of Troy, but to be honest, it was my least favorite stop on our trip. We did see our fair share of miniature Trojan Horse souvenirs though!

A life size replica of the Trojan Horse...I was very disappointed when I found out that this was not the original Trojan Horse....even worse...the Trojan War never really happen. What??!!!! :)

Where's Waldo?

Ancient Troy...

I spy some killer shades...

The sunflowers were unbelievable...

Sailing away from Troy through the Dardanelles into the Marmara Sea...

A tug boat helped guide us through the Dardanelles Strait...

The narrowest part of the strait...

Farewell Troy.....a view from my favorite spot on the boat!

Our final stop...Istanbul, Turkey. Pictures coming soon! Istanbul was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
