June Marie :: 3 Months

What a fun month this has been with June!  She really is the happiest, most laid back little thing!  She flashes her darling smile all the time (that dimple...it gets me every time!) and is "talking" a lot now.  I can't wait to hear her laugh for the first time!  I feel like we're really starting to settle into a decent routine/schedule.  As of two nights ago (13 weeks old), she is officially sleeping through the night, which is definitely the biggest accomplishment of the month!!!  She didn't wake up for her normal 5/5:30am feeding on Thursday morning and slept until 7:45am!  So, now she is down to 6 feedings per day and taking 4-5oz at each feeding.  She eats every 3 hours during the day (typically around 7:30am, 10:30am, 1:30pm, 4:30pm, 7:30pm and 10:30pm).  After her 7:30pm feeding, she'll have a little awake time and then she is down for bed around 8/8:30pm.  Josh gives her a bottle around 10:30pm (she sleeps through this feeding) and now she wakes up for the day around 7:30am!!  This is officially our "new normal"....PRAISE THE LORD!!!  Her naps have improved dramatically since last month.  She typically takes 3 1.5 hour naps during the day (around 9am, 12pm and 3pm) and a little 30 minute cat nap in the evenings around 6:30pm.  One (sometimes 2) of the 3 naps is normally on the go (in her car seat).  And so far she is transitioning well from her car seat to her crib (if she falls asleep in the car when it's close to nap time).  Not all of her naps are perfect by any means, but she is doing so much better!  Thankfully, her gas issues have improved as well, which has made her so much happier and comfortable.  Her legs and neck are getting stronger everyday, but she still has a love/hate (mostly hate) relationship with tummy time.  She definitely recognizes our voices and her name now, and she adores her big sister!  June is wearing 3-6 month clothes and size 1 diapers during the day, size 2 at night.  Happy 3 months June girl....WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!
