Ever since we got home from Costa Rica, Lucy just hasn't been herself. I'm not sure what is going on, but it has been a rough few days to say the least! She's been fussy, moody, a bad eater and just not fun to be around. At least she is still sleeping good! I don't know if she's teething (she did not act like this with her other teeth), just not feeling well (she hasn't had a fever...but she has had some diarrea and a runny nose) or just starting to be a stinker. She's thrown a ton of little temper tantrums lately....and to be honest, it's totally freaking us out! We're not sure how to handle it. Last night I had a mommy melt down and just prayed that God will give Josh and I the strength, patience and wisdom to parent Lucy and learn how to discipline her appropriately and effectively. I went to bed early last night so I could at least be rested for another long with Lucy. Thankfully, today was a much better day! His mercies truly are new every morning. This video of Lucy at dinner tonight at Taco C made the past 5 days not seem so bad....I love her!!

Dont worry, i bet its just a short phase.. Zoe had 2 weeks like that when she was 13 months, but it went away thank goodness! It was miz!!!
I have 3 kiddos and things can get really tough from where you are at with your daughter until around 21 to 24 months when they really start talking. She just can't verbalize her feelings and I bet she is a very smart little girl who wants to be able to communicate what's going on in her head, so since she can't she throws a tantrum. Be consistent with her, love on her, and get lots of help and time away here and there. our first child (also a girl) was the toughest in this regard, we would put her in a pack n play to have her tantrum in a safe environment so she wouldn't bang her head, etc and then would leave the room so she knew she gets no attention from us when she behaved that way.
Love you and can relate to some mommy melt downs :)... praying for you and glad today was better- His mercies ARE new every morning!
I can totally relate, Mindy! I think mommy melt downs are good to have every once in a while. :) And honestly, I think the hardest part is not knowing what to do. Eventually you will kind of figure out how to handle the various issues, and then they become a little less stressful. (Don't get me wrong, I still have my melt downs though!!)
What a blessing that you have a passionate little girl... maybe she expresses her passion with tantrums now but I can't wait to see how it's expressed later in life! Definitely a quality I (try to) love in Grace for that reason! :) Hang in there, Momma... It's all part of the sanctification process! We are being refined!! :)
Titus got his 1 year molars early...like 10 months and that is exactly what happened to him. Starting acting terrible, fit throwing, etc. He got his bottom 2 year molars last month and acted the SAME way and now..we're getting the top. It's awesome around these parts!!!!! I feel ya.
