So, yesterday afternoon I surprised Josh and told him to pack his bags because we were going on an overnight date to celebrate our anniversary. Our anniversary is not until June 17th (year #3), but I had this weekend off from work, so it worked out perfectly to celebrate a little early since June is so crazy for me with weddings and such. I had arranged for dinner at Nove Italiano and a night at the Crescent. Even thought we've heard mixed reviews about Nove, we really wanted to try it out. We thought the food and service was excellent...and the atmosphere was really nice too...overall, we enjoyed it and would definitely go back. After dinner we headed to the Crescent...we had a wonderful stay and we were even greeted with a happy anniversary dessert in our room...a very nice touch. And this morning, we treated ourselves to room service for breakfast....a perfect end to our anniversary date!And you know the best part about our little date....it was all FREE! That's right....FREE! Last summer a client of mine gave me a gift card to Nove...and I attended an industry party at the Crescent this month and received a free night stay (with bfast included)! Ahhh...the perks of being a wedding planner....it can be glamorous sometimes! :)
