Why I Love September...

I may be a bit biased towards September because it's my birth month, but it's one of my favorite months of the year....a close second to December. I love the Fall and September definitely marks the beginning of the season for me...even though the 95+ temps in Dallas make it hard to believe that Fall is upon us. I'm so ready for it to cool down! Since today is September 1st, I thought it was only appropriate to blog about a few reasons why I love the ninth month of the year so much....

-The start of a new school year....even though I'm not in school anymore, I love knowing that kids are back in school meeting new friends, participating in sports and extracurricular activities and enjoying their new school supplies. I use to LOVE shopping for school supplies....I was so particular about picking just the right ones and keeping them extremely organized and in tip top shape...shocking, I know. And even though I hate school zones...it's kind of nice to see the yellow blinking lights back in action.

-Football is back! I look forward to hopefully making it to a Coppell Cowboys game and A&M game. I'd love to see the Dallas Cowboys play in their new stadium too!

-New episodes of Grey's Anatomy, The Office, Dancing with the Stars, SYTYCD (one of my new favorites), Oprah and The View.....my DVR is going to be hot this Fall!

-I'm really looking forward to the woman's bible study at IBC beginning on Sept. 14th and our couples home group starting back up this month. If you would like to register for the woman's bible study, go here. Last year's study was amazing, so I'm sure this year will be great as well!

-Waking up to a slight crispness in the air....ahh, I love those mornings!

-Watching the leaves start changing colors! There's no better place to experience the changing leaves than Colorado! We'll be at the cabin for a long weekend with the family Sept. 17-20th ...Dad just finished the big addition/remodel to The Elk, so I can hardly wait to get up there to see what it looks like. We'll be participating in the Buena Vista Autumn Color Run while were there too. Lord, help me....6.2 miles at 7,954 feet above sea level!

-My birthday, of course! I turn 28 on the 25th. It's hard to believe that I'll be 28 years old. Life needs to slow down. This year on my wish list....a new chandelier and new carpet for our master bedroom.

-Only 2 1/2 more months until 103.7 Lite FM starts playing Christmas music 24-7!!!

As Stewie said to Brian in The Family Guy..."I feel right, Brian....I feel right." That's how I feel about September. I feel right again. Happy September!!!
