Library Card...

After being inspired by a friend of mine in book club (thanks Erin!), I decided to make a trip down to the Coppell Public Library today to take advantage of my tax paying dollars and get my very own library card. I haven't set foot in a library since college....and I truly cannot remember the last time I checked out a book from the library. I must say, I was quite impressed by the Coppell Public Library....and the place was packed! Who knew so many people visit the library?! Unfortunately, the book I was looking for was checked out....Dear John by Nicholas Sparks....but I will definitely check back when we choose our next book club read. I can even access their online catalog from home to see if they have the book I want! Pretty fancy, Coppell...pretty fancy! Now I know why our taxes are so high.

I LOVE my library card too! Our library offers lots of fun classes.....I recently enrolled Aubs and I in "Baby Rhyme Time." We have lots of fun doing it and the best part is its free!

I also finally got a card. I asked about the book club "bags" and they said that if we give them 2 months notice, they would order them for us! We'd have to start picking books further out, but it would save us all some $$$. Glad I motivated you! I was also VERY impressed with the Coppell Library - now all they need is a starbucks and it would be perfect!

I am an old carrying card library member, when we moved here in 1991, the library was upstairs in one room of city hall. The entire library.

My girls and I would always have a library day and they each had a card and could check out up to three books at a time. My husband loved the free videos.

The new library is a great place. Yes, good use of our tax dollars.

Hey Mindy! I came across your blog a while back & love it!

You definitely need to read Dear John. It is GOOD, as most Nicholas Sparks books are. And while you're at the library, I'd also recommend you check out Last Song by Sparks, as well. It is one of my favorites & will be coming out at the theaters soon, too.
